Procedure

1.

You can segregate and view statistical data for all or one of the following based on your
requirement:

Display list: Select the appropriate predefined interval or custom duration. For more
information, see

“Using the Display option” (page 15)

.

Select Controller list: Select the controller to view data collected through that controller
for the performance object. The following are the available options:

Aggregated (default)

Controller A

Controller B

If data is collected through only one controller, the list displays only that controller for
selection.

View type list: Select the view type other than the applied view (Advanced or Basic).

Display counters for list: Based on the performance object for which you are viewing
statistical data, select one of the following to segregate and view data:

Disk group: Virtual Disk Group (default), Physical Disk Group

Controller: Controller (default), host ports for the controller

2.

Click OK for the statistical table to be automatically updated to display data for the selected
duration, controller level, counter type, or category. A combination of the above is also possible
depending on the object type for which you are viewing the statistical data. The changes are
specific to the statistical tables and do not reflect in the key metric chart windows.

NOTE:

A hyphen (-) is displayed for a key metrics counter in the Basic or Advanced view, if statistical
data is not available for the selected duration. However, the Recent Value column still displays
the most recent value of the storage system for that specific counter.

You can filter host records based on the port WWNs of the existing host connections and
counter names. The parameters are provided in the Filter by list. For more information, see

“Using the Filter by list” (page 16)

.

Editing key metric chart settings

To edit the existing key metric chart settings for a storage system or performance object:

Procedure

1.

Click the Key Metrics tab. For more information on accessing the Key Metrics tab, see

“Procedure” (page 108)

.

2.

In the Key Metric Chart window, click Edit.

The selected storage system or performance object appears as a read-only record in the
Object Instances section.

The Controllers and Counters section displays the controllers through which data is
collected and key metric counters for which data is currently displayed in the chart window.
By default, an aggregated data (Controller 1 and Controller 2) is displayed for each
supported key metric counter. If data is collected through only one controller, that controller
alone is displayed as the available option.
