Introduction

Thank you for purchasing the Signamax 065-7408GTB Industrial
Unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet Switch. This document intends to provide
customers with brief descriptions of the product and to assist our
customers to start to use this device.

Product Description

065-7408GTB

8-Port Industrial Unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet Switch

8 10/100/1000BaseT/TX ports with RJ-45 connector

5-pin Terminal Block type power connector

2 LEDs indicating Power1 (P1) and Power2 (P2) status

Hardware Installation

Step1: Installation on “Din-Rail”

The 065-7408GTB switch is equipped with a Din-Rail bracket

attached onto the rear panel. Please follow the steps below to
fasten the switch to the Din-Rail correctly.

Tip the switch forward and press it against the Din-Rail after

aligning the bracket springs to the Din-Rail.

Press the bracket against the upper ledge of the Din-Rail until it
clicks.

Please Note:

The switch is designed to be mounted on a well-grounded place,

such as a metal panel.

Step2: Connection to Power

Prepare a suitable power source (such as the Signamax DC-1824-30W
Hardened Power Supply) and connect it into the switch by

Terminal Blocks (TB5).

The 065-7408GTB can utilize power ranging from 9-48 Volts DC.

Two DC inputs can be connected to the switch’s power terminals if

redundant power backup is needed.

Check the P1/P2 power LED. The LED(s) will be illuminated when the
switch is ready for use.


Step3: Connecting the Network Devices

Connect your devices using standard UTP/STP cable with RJ-45

connectors to the switch. (For the cable wiring diagrams, please
refer to the Pin Assignment)

The corresponding RJ-45 LED will be lighted if the Ethernet

connection is linked successfully.

The LED will be blinked during data transfer by the switch.

All the series of products are intended to be supplied by a Listed
Power Unit marked with “LPS”, “Limited Power Source” or “Class 2”
with output rate 9-48VDC, 0.45A maximum.

Warning:

Before connecting the switch to the DC power input, please make sure
the DC voltage supplied by the power source is correct and stable.
