BMX (Bit Media EX) Digital Compression
Compressed file formats such
as MP3 and WMA are now as
common as the Internet. But
there are people who feel that
compressed music sounds
thin, flat and short of depth.
This is because the data
representing a delicate sound
barely over the threshold of
perception is essentially
ignored during compression.
To correct this common
problem, Pioneer developed
BMX technology. BMX
studies what’s left of the
delicate sound frequencies
that are usually ignored and
makes the necessary
adjustments. This improves
the shape and overall depth of
sound, which results in
enjoyment to the ears,
especially in the noisy car
environment.
BMX1 enhances the depth and width of the sound field, making music
sound really lively.
BMX2 improves the sense of presence.
Mighty MOSFET60
Now Pioneer lets you enjoy 60W x 4 power from a CD headunit. Ultra
high MOSFET power is made possible by the combined use of a new
high-efficiency amp IC and step-up voltage converters (17.5V). Installation is hassle-free
because the new design does not require a dedicated power supply cable connected direct
to the car battery*.
* Note: Applies only to vehicles using batteries with Acc rated at 10A or higher.
