3. Setting Up: Connecting to TV & Network
This chapter explains how to connect your LaCinema HD Connect to
your television and network. If you would also like to connect a USB
hard drive in order to play its files on the TV, see section
4. Setting
Up: Connecting USB Hard Drive .

Composite Cables
The LaCinema HD Connect supports different ways of connecting
to televisions. From the following methods, choose the setup that
matches the ports on your television or receiver:
■ HDMI (section 3.1.1. HDMI (High-Definition) Connection )
■ Composite (section 3.1.2. Composite Video & Stereo Audio
Connection )
In each of the above connection methods, it is possible to connect
the LaCinema HD Connect to home theater systems by plugging the
S/PDIF cable (not included) to your digital amplifier via the digital
optical audio connector (see section
3.1.3. Optical Audio (S/PDIF)
