Power

Symptom

Problem

Corrective Action

The system does not
start or respond in
any way.

The Power button is off.

1.

Press the Power button located inside the side panel
to the on position.

2.

Wait one to two minutes for the system to
completely power on.

The power cable is not
connected.

Make sure the power cable is connected to a power
outlet, and that the power cable is seated securely both
in the outlet and in the Mobile Responder.

The power outlet is not active,
or the system’s power cable
is not operating properly.

Check the power outlet by unplugging the system and
plugging in a lamp, radio, or other small appliance. If it
does not operate, the outlet is not active — connect the
system to a different outlet.
If the outlet is active, the problem may be in the Mobile
Responder’s power cable. In this case, call Polycom
Technical Support.

The power interlock switch is
pushed down.

Make sure that the power interlock switch, which turns off
power to the lid, is up (refer to

Identifying System Parts

on page

2-2

for an illustration showing where the power

interlock switch is located).

The screen is blank.

The system is in standby
mode.

Pick up the remote control to activate the system.

The power for the display is
off.

Press the LCD Power button to turn the display on (refer
to

on page

The wrong display mode is
selected.

Press the LCD Up/Display Mode button until you set the
display mode to RGB (refer to

on page
