You first need to install an 802.11B (WiFi) SDIO network card (purchased
separately). For instructions on inserting and using the SDIO WiFi or network
card, see the owner’s manual for the card.
NOTE: Make sure your SDIO card is compatible with SDIO Now! technology,
developed‘ by bSquare Inc.
 If applicable, obtain the following information from your ISP (Internet
Service Provider): user name, password, and domain name.
 You do not need to create a new connection on your V37. The first time you
install the SDIO network card, Network Settings appears automatically so
you can configure the network card. Most networks use DHCP, so you should
not have to change settings unless your network administrator instructs you
to do so. If you need to change settings, do the following: Tap OK. If it does
not appear to change settings later, tap
and tap Settings. On the
Connections tab, tap Network Adapters, tap the adapter you want to
change, and tap Properties.
 Tap , tap Settings, and tap the Connections tab. From the My network
card connects to list, tap The Internet, and tap OK.
8VLQJ DQ ,QIUDUHG &RQQHFWLRQ
An infrared (IR) connection will allow you use your V37 to exchange information
(such as contacts and appointments) with other mobile devices as well as your
PC. (For more information, see “Using Microsoft ActiveSync” in Chapter 4.)
Use the infrared (IR) port on the V37 to exchange (send/receive) files with
another mobile device.
6HQGLQJ ,QIRUPDWLRQ
 Switch to the program in which you created the item you want to send then
locate the item in the list.
 Align the IR ports so that they are unobstructed and within a close range.
CAUTION: If the devices are too far apart or if something blocks the
path between the two ports, data might not be sent or received
correctly.
 Press and hold the item, then tap Beam Item on the pop-up menu.
NOTE: You can also send items, but not folders, from File Explorer. Press and
hold the item you want to send, then tap Beam File on the pop-up menu.

 Align the IR ports so that they are unobstructed and within a close range.
 Tap , tap Programs, then tap Infrared Receive.
 Have the owner of the other device send the information to you. Your V37
will automatically receive it.
