HOW TO SETUP YOUR REMOTE CONTROL:
Your VM191 remote can control a wide range of Velleman devices.
At the factory, it has been set-up to control the K8095/VM8095 MP3 player. If you want to control these
devices, you can skip the setup procedure. For all other supported devices, please follow the proce-
dures below:
Setup procedure:
In order to be able to use the VM191 remote control with your device, the remote and/or your device
must be confi gured in the correct way. First, remove the 3 screws at the back of the remote and open
the unit. Next, select your device from the list below and follow the appropriate setup procedure.
Note: The devices listed below are supported at time of printing.
Please check www.velleman.be for an up to date list, as devices might have been added.
1) For use with K8095/VM8095 MP3 player
• Press and hold ‘Mode’-button
• Press and hold button ‘1’ until the led fl ashes
• Release both buttons.
• Close the remote by means of the 3 screws
• You device is ready to be used
2) For use with the K8050/VM122 15-channel IR receiver
• Turn on your K8050/VM122 unit
• Press and hold ‘Mode’-button
• Press and hold button ‘4’. The led will fl ash briefl y every 3s.
Watch the K8050/VM122 channel leds closely.
• As soon as the channel led of the channel you wish to control with button ‘1’ lights, release
both buttons. The 3 following channels are controlled with button 2, 3 and 4. This procedure
can take a couple of minutes, depending on the address setting of the K8050/VM122.
• Close the remote by means of the 3 screws
• You device is ready to be used
3) For use with the MK161
• Press and hold ‘Mode’-button
• Press and hold button ‘4’. The led will fl ash briefl y every 3s. Everytime it fl ashes,
a different code is generated. You can release both buttons at anytime.
• Now you can ‘learn’ the generated code to the MK161
(please check MK161 manual for how-to instructions).
• Close the remote by means of the 3 screws
• You device is ready to be used
4) For use with the VM192 RGB controller with IR receiver
• Press and hold ‘Mode’-button
• Press and hold button ‘4’ until the led fl ashes
• Release both buttons.
• Close the remote by means of the 3 screws
• You device is ready to be used
