Cigarette Lighter Adapter Installation Instructions
Warning: The improper installation of this Cigarette Lighter Adapter will void all included warranties.
The Cigarette Lighter Adapter is designed to easily connect any 12 volt vehicle accessory to your vehicle’s cigarette lighter port,
eliminating the need to cut and splice into any of your vehicle’s existing wiring.
1.
Strip the kit’s lead power and ground wires plastic covering so about ½” - ¾” of bare wire is showing. Note: The
lead power wire is usually solid red or black with a white stripe running the length of the wire. The ground wire is
usually solid black.
2.
Insert the lead power wire into the open end of one of the included butt connectors. Using a crimping tool, crimp
the lead power wire into the butt connector and ensure the connection is secure.
3.
Insert the ground wire into the open end of one of the included butt connectors. Using a crimping tool, crimp the
ground wire into the butt connector and ensure the connection is secure.
4.
Once both the lead power and ground wires are crimped into the butt connectors, insert them into the
corresponding female power and ground connectors of the Cigarette Lighter Adapter. Note: The lead power wire
of the kit connects to the SOLID RED wire on the Cigarette Lighter Adapter. The ground wire of the kit connects
to the red wire with the BLACK STRIPE running the length of the wire.
5.
Once your kit is connected to the Cigarette Lighter Adapter, simply plug it into your vehicle’s cigarette lighter
port.
