ESCRIPTION

Detcon PN 500-512000-000 is designed for use in engineered gas detection systems where an alarm
acknowledge/ silence function is required. The all solid state circuit is powered by 24 VDC and is capable
of receiving inputs from up to 8 alarm relays and triggering a common relay output. Additional circuits
may be series linked to accommodate additional inputs in 8 channel increments.

RINCIPLE OF

O

PERATION

In operation, a dry contact closure input to any one of the 8 channels triggers the common alarm output
relay. The alarm output relay is held in the latched position until an external normally open momentary
contact switch is used to release the alarm output relay. Once acknowledged or reset, the input that created
the original alarm must clear before it can re-trigger the output relay. Any of the other inputs will re-trigger
the output relay. The circuit is most commonly used as an audible silence device.
