APPLICATION
The D.O. Calibration Kit contains the following for performing an oxygen
saturation point calibration on the polarographic Dissolved Oxygen sensor:

Battery-powered air pump

Bubbler cup with aquarium stone, tubing, check valve and pinch valve

Grey PVC adapter for holding the MP TROLL in top of bubbler cup

2 alkaline D-cells

OXYGEN SATURATION CALIBRATION PROCEDURE

1

Install the polarographic Dissolved Oxygen sensor in the MP TROLL (see
instructions packaged with the sensor, or the MP TROLL operator's
manual).

2

Condition the newly-installed sensor as follows:

2A Connect the MP TROLL to a PC and establish a connection in Win-

Situ or Pocket-Situ.

2B Select the MP TROLL in the Navigation tree. All installed sensors will

be displayed. Powering of the D.O. sensor begins as soon as the
software recognizes the D.O. sensor and displays it in the Navigation
tree. This starts the conditioning process.

2C We recommend that you allow the sensor to condition for 2-10 hours

before calibrating.

D.O. SENSOR

TIP: Detailed calibration
instructions for the polaro-
graphic D.O. sensor may be

Parameter TROLL Operator's
Manual, on the Win-Situ
installation CD-ROM or
available in the Downloads
section of the In-Situ website.

TIP: It is not necessary to maintain the computer connection;
conditioning continues as long as the sensor is installed.

TIP: Testing has shown that 10
hours of conditioning yields
very stable long-term
performance.

TIP: If the polarographic D.O.
sensor is installed when you
receive the instrument, it will
be conditioned and ready to
calibrate.
