1) Remove the metal lock tab and corresponding intermediate shaft using a
flat brass or wood punch (Fig.2).

2) Roll the intermediate gear up and out of the case. Be careful to retain the
needle bearings and three spacer rings in the intermediate gear bore (Fig.3).
