Device replacement

A device replacement is required if a defective hardware (x700 system) is to be replaced

with the follow-up system (x800).

The Device replacement function serves to prepare the CF card of a replacement device

using »IPC Backup & Restore«, so that the configuration data of IPC 1 (like for instance

parameters, boot project, visualisation) can be transferred to the replacement device

(x800 system).

This enables a subsequent device replacement from an x700 system to an x800 system.
