Introduction

Qsonix introduces exciting new remote control capabilities with its iPod Touch™ and iPhone remote control interface,
which is now available for all models including the nostalgic jukebox platforms. This feature introduces a very exciting
new way for Qsonix users to control and interact with their Qsonix systems. Taking advantage of the increasing
ubiquity of the inexpensive Apple iPod Touch and iPhone devices, Qsonix users now have a great wireless (WiFi) enabled
touch screen remote control interface that enables users to browse their Qsonix library by Playlists, Artist, Album, Genre,
Year or keyword search and to immediately control playback of any of the independent Qsonix outputs. Features
include ‚Apple style‛ list scrolling, through their music library and the ability to instantly play an item in the library, or add
any item to the current play queue. Other features include the ability browse or play playlists and to manage all
playback function including Play, Stop, Next, Back, Shuffle the current play queues discretely for all available
zones/outputs, including volume control.

Requirements

This document will assist you in the
setup and usage of the Qsonix
iPhone & iPod Touch (iTouch) remote
control interface. Before getting
started, please confirm that you have
addressed the following:

In order to enjoy the iPhone/ITouch
remote control features, you will
need a system that is running version
2.4.8 or greater. Contact your
installer or Qsonix support if you
need assistance in getting your
system updated. Systems running
version 2.0 or greater should
automatically receive this system update if your system has been connected to the Internet. You can check your version
from the System Setting/Information tab.

In addition, you will need to confirm the following:

You own an Apple iPhone 2G/3G phone or Apple iPod Touch device running Apple’s current firmware.

Both your iPhone/iTouch and Qsonix systems are connected to the same network. (see Apple documentation

for connecting your iPhone/iTouch to your WiFi network)

You know the IP address OR serial number of you Qsonix device (the serial number is displayed on the Qsonix

Information tab located in the tools menu)

Please note that the iPhone/iTouch is a wireless device and connection interruption may occur during usage depending
upon the quality and strength of your WiFi connection. In addition, the Qsonix remote control functionality has been
implemented through the use of a Safari web application which does NOT require the installation of any specific
software or updates to your device.
