Chapter 8: Diagnostics/Maintenance

Before you Begin

Before you begin troubleshooting a potential malfunction, it is a good idea to check your basic hardware con-
nections. See below.

• For AC, ensure the power cord is firmly installed in the back panel’s power inlet and the other end is

plugged into the AC power source and ensure the unit’s power switch is in the On position.

• For DC, ensure the circuit breaker is reset.

• Verify that the Power LED on the Power Supply is green. If the unit is not working, toggle the power

switch or circuit breaker to reset the system. If the unit is reset, the settings you configured may be lost.

• Verify the RJ-45 is fitted properly in the Ethernet port.

• Verify the DB-9 cable is fitted properly in the RS-232 port.

If you suspect the problem to be on the network end, contact your Network Manager to verify proper opera-
tion.
