I Disconnect the negative battery cable.

II Remove air cleaner lid.

a) Loosen the intake tube clamp at the air box lid.
b) Disconnect the crankcase breather tube at the air box lid.
c) Unclip the air box lid and remove.

III Install Airaid C.A.D.(Cool Air Dam)

a) Mount the Airaid CAD in place of the original air box lid. Snap in place.
b) Connect the intake tube to the Airaid C.A.D., and tighten the clamp.

c) Reconnect the crankcase breather tube to the nipple on the CAD tube and secure with the black speed clamp provided.

d) Install the Airaid Filter and weatherstrip onto the CAD as shown.

IV Finishing up
.
a) Check over all work. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
b) Check hood clearance before closing.
c) Make sure no foreign objects are in the intake path!

Provision for Some 2003 Models:


If your vehicle is equipped with a dipstick tube that
interferes with the location of the Airaid Intake System,
an adjustment to the dipstick tube must be made. Firmly
grasp the dipstick tube about 6 inches below the top with
your left hand and carefully bend the tube towards the engine
with your right hand. This will allow for clearance of the
Airaid Intake System. Please refer to the image.
