Kichler 9817 - Manual

1) Turn off power.
2) Attach mounting strap to outlet box. (Screws not provided.)
3) Screw threaded pipe into mounting strap.
4) Screw hexnut onto threaded pipe until there is approximately 1/2" of thread
below hexnut.
5) Slip fixture over threaded pipe. Fixture should touch mounting surface and
hexnut from step 4.
6) Remove fixture and adjust hexnut accordingly.
7) Grounding instructions: (See Illus. A or B).
A) On fixtures where mounting strap is provided with a hole and two
raised dimples. Wrap ground wire from outlet box around green
ground screw, and thread into hole.
B) On fixtures where a cupped washer is provided. Attach ground wire
from outlet box under cupped washer and green ground screw, and
thread into mounting strap.
If fixture is provided with ground wire. Connect fixture ground wire to
outlet box ground wire with wire connector. (Not provided.) After following
the above steps. Never connect ground wire to black or white power
supply wires.
8) Make wire connections (connectors not provided.) Reference chart below
for correct connections and wire accordingly.
9) Push fixture to ceiling allowing threaded pipe to pass through hole in fixture
and secure in place with coupling.
10) Screw hexnut approximately 1" onto end of threaded pipe.
11) Screw end of threaded pipe with hexnut into coupling at center of fixture.
12) Secure threaded pipe in place by tightening hexnut against coupling.
13) Insert recommended lamp.
14) Carefully slip glass over threaded pipe and secure in place with nylon
washer and hexnut.
15) Slip trim over threaded pipe and screw on finial.
1) Apague la alimentación eléctrica.
2) Instale la abrazadera de montaje a la caja de conexiones. (No se provee
tornillos).
3) Rosque el tubo roscado en la abrazadera de montaje.
4) Atornille la tuerca hexagonal en el tubo roscado hasta tener aproximadamente
1/2" de rosca debajo de la tuerca hexagonal.
5) Resbale el artefacto sobre el tubo roscado. El artefacto deberá tocar la
superficie de montaje y la tuerca hexagonal del paso 4.
6) Quite el artefacto y ajuste la tuerca hexagonal según se requiera.
7) Instrucciones de conexión a tierra solamente para los Estados Unidos.
(Vea la ilustracion A o B).
A)
En las lámparas que tienen el fleje, de montaje con un agujero y dos
hoyuelos realzados. Enrollar el alambre a tierra de la caja tomacorri-
ente alrededor del tornillo verde y pasarlo por el aquiero.
B) En las lámparas con una arandela acopada. Fijar el alambre a tierra
de la caja tomacorriente del ajo de la arandela acoada y tornillo
verde, y paser por el fleje de montaje.
Si la lámpara viene con alambre a tierra. Conecter el alambre a tierra de
la lámpara al alambre a tierra de la caja tomacorriente con un conector
de alambres. (No incluido) Espués de seguir los pasos anteriores. Nunca
conectar el alambra a tierra a los alambres eléctros negro o blanco.
8) Haga les conexiones de los alambres (no se proveen los connectores.) La
tabla de referencia de abajo indica las conexiones correctas y los alam
bres correspondientes.

9) Empuje el artefacto hacia el techo dejando que el tubo roscado pase a
través del orificio en el artefacto y fíjelo en su lugar con el cople.
10) Atornille la tuerca hexagonal aproximadamente 1" en el extremo del
tubo roscado.
11) Atornille el extremo del tubo roscado con la tuerca hexagonal en el
acoplamiento en el centro del artefacto.
12) Sujete el tubo roscado en el lugar apretando la tuerca hexagonal contra
el acoplamiento.
13) Inserte la bombilla recomendada.
14) Cuidadosamente resbale la pantalla sobre el tubo roscado y asegure en el
lugar con la arandela de nilón y la tuerca hexagonal.
15) Resbale la guarnición sobre el tubo roscado y atornille en el capuchón.
