Dual Disc playback

The Dual Disc format can record DVD-standard video and audio on one side,
and audio that can be played by a CD player on the other.
— When inserting a Dual Disc into a playback device or removing it from the
device, the surface opposite to the playback side may be scratched. Problems
may occur when playing the scratched side.

The audio side (non-DVD side) is not compliant with general physical CD
standards, and may not play in some cases.

The Dual Disc DVD side can be played.
