Setting Up Serial Port Properties
Use the SR Port Properties dialog box to view and set up the
adapter’s serial port properties

OTE
Before you configure your serial port, first obtain the WAN
serial line port information from your provider.
Resources: Port
Displays the first port address reserved by the Base
driver for the selected adapter.
Resources: IRQ
Displays the IRQ (Interrupt ReQuest) number
reserved by the Base driver for your selected adapter.
Resources: Mem 1
Displays the memory address reserved by the Base
driver for the selected adapter’s first memory
window.
Resources: Mem 2
Displays the memory address reserved by the Base
driver for the selected adapter’s second memory
window.
COM properties
Not applicable to the
iSPAN
-Serial WAN adapter.
COM properties are displayed for WAN Adapters
with a standard COM port system interface.
(the only available
option)
Click this button to display the Diagnostics window
(which is also accessible by selecting Start/
Programs/Administrative Tools (Common)/Windows
NT Diagnostics). Use this window to resolve
hardware conflicts.
