IMPORTANT!
Unrecordable pictures
Pictures with copy-protection cannot be
played back from the HDD or copied to
a recordable DVD.

Recording TV programmes

Follow the instructions below to record
the TV programmes onto the HDD,
where you can store for future viewing
and copy to a recordable DVD disc if
required.

A

Press m on the remote control to

display the Time Shift Video bar.

B

Use

/

keys to search for the

beginning of the scene in the temporary
HDD storage where you want to start
recording, then press PAUSE

Press REC on the remote control.

The video bar changes to recording

time input fi eld.

D

Press REC repeatedly to increase the

recording time in 30-minute increments,
up to a maximum of six hours.

Alternatively, you can use the numeric

keypad 0-9 on the remote control to
input the recording time.

A red marking will be visible on the

video bar to indicate the marked recording.

E

Press PLAY to continue playback.

F

To stop the recording before the

scheduled ending, press STOP or
turn off the recorder.

To delete the recording, press CLEAR.

Record on Hard Disk

TIPS: Set the appropriate recording mode for HDD recording. The same recording mode will be

used for recording from HDD to a recordable DVD, see page 29.

Simultaneous record and play
function

While recording the TV programme to
the HDD is in progress, you can play a
previously recorded title from the HDD,
or play a DVD video disc, or watch the
playback from other connected devices.

Playback from HDD

Press HDD, use

keys to select a

title in the HDD content menu and press
OK to start playback.

Playback from DVD

Press OPEN CLOSE on the recorder’s

front panel and load in a disc to start
playback.

Playback from other device

This is only possible if this recorder is
connected to the TV using the
EXT1 TO TV-I/O socket.

Press TV/HDD to view the picture from

the device which is connected to the
EXT2 AUX-I/O socket of this recorder.
