Variable Value
<ipaddr> The IP address that you assign to the
management port. For example, 10.11.12.13.
<netmask> The network mask that you assign to the
management port IP address. For example,
255.255.255.0.
Configuring SSH
You can enable an SSH connection for remote access. To generate a key
and enable SSH, use the procedures in this section.
Procedure steps
Step Action
1 To access configuration mode, enter:
configure terminal
2 To access the SSH key generation subtree, enter:
ssh_keygen
3 To generate the DSA key, enter:
generate dsa
4 To generate the RSA key, enter:
generate rsa
5 To exit the SSH key generation subtree, enter:
exit
6 To enable the SSH connection, enter:
ssh_server
enable
7 To save the configuration, enter:
