Second Number Distinctive Ring

AFX-300 Response: 2 beeps = On
3 beeps = Off
Default Setting: Off
If you subscribe to second number distinctive ring service
through your phone company, the AFX-300 is preset to auto-
matically switch calls to your data modem if it detects the sec-
ond number’s distinctive ring pattern. If you subscribe to this
service but do not want the AFX-300 to transfer that number’s
calls to your data modem, you can turn this feature off.
Turn On/Off the FAX and MODEM Jacks
Touch-Tone Command: 5
AFX-300 Response: 2 beeps = On
3 beeps = Off
Default Setting: On
The AFX-300 is preset to automatically switch fax or data calls
to your fax machine/fax modem or data modem, but it also lets
you turn off the
FAX and MODEM jacks (together). This is use-
ful if you are expecting only voice calls, and want all calls to be
routed to the AFX-300’s
