Photo Mode
When in
Photo
capture mode, you can capture a single still image by pressing the
Camera
button on your T-Mobile MDA III, or the
Action
button on the navigation pad.
Options
allow you to choose between JPEG or
BMP as the output format for saved image files,
specify a resolution, disable the “shutter” sound, etc. The captured picture will be im-
mediately saved based on the specified filename convention you set in
Options.
A green “film icon” indicates
a capture-ready state. This
changes to a red circle when
image capture is in progress.
Name of the current capture mode, and
related icon.
The current Ambience setting is
displayed here. To change, select
Ambience
from the Tools Menu.
Tap
Mode
and select
Manage...
from the menu to change
the output file format (Encoder) or
capture size (Resolution) settings.
The available Resolutions:
n
S
= Small (160 x 120)
n
M
= Medium (320 x 240)
n
L
= Large (640 x 480)
The current
Zoom
setting (
1.0x
indicates
normal size).
Tap an icon to change
to the related capture
mode. (The current
active capture mode is
framed.)
Tap to switch to
Thumbnail View of
Album
mode.
Camera
automatically calculates how many more
photos you can capture, according to your current
settings and how much memory you have left. In
this example, 9118 more images can be captured
with the current settings and storage space avail-
able. This counter automatically updates after
you take a picture, or if you change the Resolu-
tion or Encoder settings in
Options.
This image will be captured in
the JPEG file format.
