Microsoft Windows XP and Vista include their own set of scanning
options—known as Windows Image Acquisition (WIA)—for acquiring
images from scanners, digital cameras, and other digital devices.

The instructions in this section are for scanning using WIA from within
the Microsoft Paint application. In most scanning applications the
scanner will be listed as WIA: Visioneer 7400.

You can also scan using the WIA interface from the OneTouch option
Configure Before Scan. As with scanning from the TWAIN interface,
simply open the OneTouch Properties, right-click on the Configure
Before Scan option and choose WIA from the list.

To scan using WIA from Microsoft Paint:
1. On the Windows taskbar, click Start, point to All Programs, point

to Accessories, then click Paint.

The Paint window opens.
