REPLACING THE VACUUM SENSOR IN
THE ELECTRIC CONTROLLER

Disconnect the electric plug from the wall socket.

Remove the 6 screws holding the two piece box together.

Remove the two bolts holding the sensor in place.

If the replacement sensor has tubing attached to it, disconnect the tubing from the
brass barb, then disconnect the electrical tabs from the sensor. At this point you
should have the old sensor free from the box.
CAUTION: Never try to pull the tubing off of the sensor as you could snap the
barb. If you have to remove the tubing from the sensor CUT IT OFF THE BARB.
Also, be careful not to hit the circuit breaker (post-like device next to switch), as it
will snap.

Some of the original sensors have .187" wide male tabs. The replacement sensor
has .250" male tabs. Included with your replacement sensor is an adapter in case
you have the .187" tabs. If not, just discard the adapter wires.

Reinstall the replacement sensor by attaching the tubing to the brass barb first. Shorten
the tubing if necessary. Next, replace the electrical connections to the sensor. One
connector goes on the aluminum colored tab that is on the top of the sensor. The other
connector goes on the MIDDLE Tab. It doesn't matter which wire goes on top or in the
middle.

Before sliding the two box pieces together for reassemble, check all the wires to be sure
none have been loosened in the process. Especially check the three wires going to the
three prong receptacle. Make sure they are in place.

Slide the two box pieces together and replace the 6 screws. Plug your pump into the
controller and test. The sensor should be set to turn off at about 24"Hg. Adjust it to
meet your special needs if necessary.
NOTE:
If your old sensor was black and the new one is grey, then the new
sensor is turned counterclockwise to reduce the shut off point. It comes set from the
