Installation of 1240 Reverse Osmosis Unit in the
PURA Ultimate Point-of-Use Cooler
Please verify that all the required items have been received.
The 1240, 3 vessel reverse osmosis installation kit includes the following items.
1. 1240 three vessel reverse osmosis manifold (1) Part # 124010X0
2. Reverse osmosis membrane (1) Part # 33001033 (50 gallon per day)
3. Sediment/Carbon Cartridge (1) Part # 41400076
4. Carbon Cartridge (1) Part # 41400009
5. RO install kit (safety clips, drain and inlet tapping saddle valve, miscellaneous tubing) Part # 42903004
6. ¼”, Tubing, Red (6 FT) Part # 115206
7. ¼”, Tubing, White (10 FT) Part # 115200
8. Adapter, ¼” x 3/8” (1) Part # PI201208S
9. Adapter, ¼” x ¼” (1) Part # PI0408S

Sanitizing Procedures

Intercomponent Quick Connect Connection
Please refer to page 2 of 1240 RO manual on how to use quick connect fittings.
1240 RO Installation Instructions
1. Install the membrane and filter cartridges in their respective vessels of the
1240 RO. Please refer to the 1240 Installation manual for details.
2. Remove the lower front panel. Two screws securing the lower part panel are
located on the front, lower sides near the floor. Depress the recessed tabs of
the lower front panel and pull outward simultaneously to remove.
3. Insert the ¼” blue inlet water tubing on to the inlet quick connect fitting located
on the back and ¼” drain flow control tubing inside the cooler through the
grommet. The inlet water tubing can be attached to the water source feed line
with the help of saddle-tapping valve. Please refer 1240 RO manual for
saddle-tapping valve installation. The installation of saddle-tapping
connections may be prohibited in certain local plumbing codes.
