System Error

Messages

The following error messages can be displayed in the message log on
the Diagnostics tab, in a message log located in the windows
directory or in the Errors tab located within the Analysis command.

Unknown Diagnostic
Error

Record the error code number and message.

Contact Luminex Customer Support.

APD Temperature Range
Exceeded

Select the Diagnostics tab to perform these tasks:

Display the system monitor and record the DD temp, CL1 temp
and CL2 temp values.

Contact Luminex Customer Support.

XYP Instrument Heater
Stability Range Exceeded

The heater block temperature is not hitting the target value. Do
not eject or retract the plate while running the assay kit.

The door to the XYP instrument must remain closed.

Verify the XYP instrument temperature readings for samples
following this error message by opening the message log located in
C:\Program Files\Luminex\Luminex 100 IS\MessageLog.

Low Voltage Detected

Power off the Luminex 100 analyzer, the XYP instrument, and
the PC. Then, power them back on.

Calibrate and verify the system.

If the error message occurs a second time, contact Luminex
Customer Support.

Runtime Sheath Pressure
Out of Limits (Too High)

Ensure that the sheath fluid container is at the same level as the
analyzer.

If a Luminex Sheath Delivery system has been installed on your
Luminex 100 IS, ensure that the sheath fluid pressure reading is
equal to the original reading by adjusting the regulator as
outlined in the "Luminex Sheath Delivery System" appendix.

Calibrate and verify the system.

Runtime Sheath Pressure
Out of Limits (Too Low)

Ensure that the cap to the sheath container is tightened.

Ensure that the sheath fluid container lines are attached to the
appropriate connectors on the Luminex 100 analyzer.

See if sheath fluid or air is leaking from the sheath fluid
container connections.

Check for sheath fluid leaks at all connections.

Remove and retighten the sheath container cap.

Calibrate and verify the system
