BEFORE GETTING STARTED
This QIG is designed to aid in the quick installation of your
PROLiNK
®
PCM100 EVDO USB Modem. If you experience
problems following these procedures or need further information

Quick Installation Guide
1.
UIM Card Installation
a. Push away the protecting cover of the
product.
b. Insert the UIM Card firmly to the socket
in the direction shown.
c. Close the cover.

To Insert Micro SD Card (Optional)
a. Push away the protecting cover of the
product.
b. Insert the Micro SD card into the socket
according to the indicated direction and
confirm the Micro SD card is inserted
completely
c. Close the cover.

Driver and Utility Setup
a. Plug the USB Modem into the USB port
on the PC or Laptop.
Note: You can connect the PCM100 to a
laptop or desktop computer using the
USB cable for better signals. Do not
unplug the USB Modem during
installation process.
b. After correctly inserted, the installation
procedure will automatically operate; if
installation procedure can not pop up
automatically, please open My
Computer‐‐‐ MODEM Disk and then
double click Modem_installation.exe to
start installation. Moreover, in the
course of installation, please do not
disconnect the device;
c. After installation, restart the computer
and click and a shortcut icon – PROLiNK
PCM100 will be created on the desktop.

Connecting to the Internet
Click on the “Connect” button to connect
to the internet.
Note: If your ISP profile can’t be detected
by the utility, you need to do the following
settings to create a new profile:
a. Click On “SETTING” in the Connection
Manager , Then click on connection
profile.
b. Click on “New”, type your Profile Name,
User Name and Password (If needed),
then click on Finish button to save it.

c. After saved, click on the profile name you
created, press Default button to set it as
Default profile.
d. Click on OK Button , then click CONNECT
button to connect to the internet.
