2.6 Description
The system comprises two main units; the Flash Source and the Detector. The
SafEye system detects gases over an open path transmitted from the Flash
Source to the Detector.
2.6.1 Flash Source Unit
The Flash Source unit emits IR radiation pulses, in a collimated beam (for
maximum intensity) to the detector unit. The source is available in three different
types as follows:
1. Reflector type, model OPS-FI0x (Figure 1)
2. 65 dia lens type, model OPS-FI1x (Figure 2)
3. 80 dia lens type, model OPS-FI2x and model OP-SFI3x (Figure 2)
