Registry Permissions and User Setup

For Innotech Software to be able to install correctly, changes have to be made to the Administrator user
account to allow the software to create and modify registry entries. To do this:

Note: This procedure has been written assuming that the Administrator user account is the one being
used to install and run the software. If this is not so, substitute your User account for the Administrator
account in the next procedure. You will need local Administrative privileges to install and run this
software.

Open the User manager by clicking

Start → Programs → Administrative Tools (Common)

→ User Manager.

Double Click on the

Administrator user in the top pane of the User Manager.

• On

the

User Properties tab click on the Groups button in the lower left corner.

• On

the

Group Membership tab click User in the Not member of list then on Add.

OK out of the

Group Membership tab and the User Properties tab then close the User

Manager.

Reboot the PC.

Once the PC has rebooted the Software is OK to install.
