The Device Manager CLI now supports adding the following virtualization server products as a host
when Host Data Collector is used:

VMware vSphere ESXi 5.0

VMware vSphere ESXi 5.1

For the P9500 storage system, Device Manager was improved so that message KAIC15056-W does
not frequently appear during use of the functionality that checks whether a storage system was changed
by a storage management tool other than Device Manager (such as CCI or SVP).

Device Manager agent enhancements

Support for the CMD-format specification of the HORCM_CMD parameter in the configuration
definition file on UNIX hosts.

Support for the

server.agent.rm.horcmSource

property, which makes it possible to specify

the location of the configuration definition file.

Java version 7 on HP-UX hosts.

Guest OSs running on VMware vSphere ESXi 5.0 Update 2 virtualization servers.

Oracle Linux OSs:
• Oracle Linux 6.2 UEK R2
• Oracle Linux 6.3 UEK R2

NOTE:

Host Data Collector enhancements

Host Data Collector no longer uses TCP port 5001.

The

hdc.service.localport

and

hdc.adapter.localport

properties have been added

to Host Data Collector so that the TCP ports used for Host Data Collector internal communications
for Windows can be specified.

Support for the following OSs as a server:
• Oracle Linux 6.2 UEK R2
• Oracle Linux 6.3 UEK R2

Support for the following OSs as a target host:
• AIX 6.1 TL5
• AIX 6.1 TL6
• Oracle Linux 6.2 UEK R2
• Oracle Linux 6.3 UEK R2
