9 Replication Services Profile
Profile introduction
The storage server supports the SMI-S 1.4 Replication Services Profile.
The following profiles are related to this one:
• Block Services Package
• Job Control Subprofile
• Cascading Subprofile
NOTE:
The term multiapp is used to denote a snapclone, mirror, or migration task.
Functional description
• This profile presents properties and methods that enable group management and replication ser-
vices:
• Create and manage virtual disk groups.
• Create and delete virtual disk groups.
• Add and remove members ( virtual disks or snapshots ).
• Manage snapshots
• Create a PiT from a virtual disk, group, and snapshot.
• Create one or more snapshots of a PiT.
• Manage copying operations
• Create a copy group from a virtual disk, group, and snapshot.
• Create additional copy jobs.
• Pause and continue jobs.
• Manage migration of virtual disks or virtual disk groups to another pool within the same SVSP
domain. Note that migration is achieved by vendor extension of the replication services SyncType
values to include "move".
• Create a migration group with task
• Pause and continue the migration task
• Manage asynchronous mirroring operations
• Create an asynchronous mirroring group from a virtual disk, group, and snapshot
• Create additional mirroring Jobs
• Pause and continue jobs
• Manage synchronous mirroring operations
