C 414 B/TLII

Condenser Microphone

Description

There are probably more AKG C 414 microphones in

studios worldwide than any other 1-inch condenser multi-
pattern microphone model from any manufacturer. The
reasons are numerous: these microphones are workhorses in
all areas of recording, from the pop studio to classical
recording venues. Their variety of polar patterns, along with
two degress of bass cut and two levels of padding, make
them ideal for recording just about any vocal or instrument
under any conceivable working condition in the studio.

The AKG C 414 B/TLII is the latest of a series of variations

on the basic C 414 design and draws from AKG’s early
studio heritage, the legendary Model C 12. The CK 12 dual
diaphragm capsule has been recreated, with its combination
of warmth and presence, and combined with modern
solidstate transformerless circuitry. The early CK 12’s were all
slightly different in response -- a consequence of individual
hand-crafting. Today we bring a higher degree of uniformity
to the production line, and the new C 414 B/TLII models are
quite consistent in response. Also, an H 100 spider
suspension shock mount and W 414 windscreen are included
as standard accessories.
