This instruction manual explains how to use, inspect and
maintain the Wood Pole Fall Restrict Device (WPFRD). All
individuals who use Wood Pole Fall Restrict Device (WPFRD)
must be instructed in how to use that equipment correctly.
Also, they must read, understand and follow all instructions
and warnings contained in this booklet or packed with the
product before each use.
The Wood Pole Fall Restrict Device (WPFRD) has been designed
to meet CSA Z259.14-01 standard as a Type A Fall Restrict
Device. DO NOT USE ON ICY POLES. Also meets or exceeds
ASTM F887; CSA Z259.12; OSHA 1910, 1926.
The Wood Pole Fall Restrict Device (WPFRD) has been designed
for a working range on wood pole diameters from 8” to 16” (203
mm to 406 mm). Wood pole diameters are determined for a
wood pole with no conduit or any other attachments.
The Wood Pole Fall Restrict Device (WPFRD) instructions apply
to right handed people.

Save these instructions. The instructions are
stored in the storage bag in the inside zippered pocket. This
equipment must not be used by anyone who has not read,
understood and followed the instructions and inspection
procedures contained in this booklet. Failure to read,
understand and follow all instructions may result in serious
injury or death. Training and instruction review should be
repeated at regular intervals by the end user and his or
her employer.
