2. The MTX60SD tamping rammer is designed to run

at 3,800 to 4,100 rpm. At optimum rpm the foot hits

at the rate between 590 - 695 impacts per minute.

Increasing throttle speed past factory set rpm does

not increase impacts and may damage unit. The

MTX60SD is designed to advance while tamping. For

faster advance, pull back slightly on the handle so that

rear of foot contacts soil first.

3. To stop the tamping action, move throttle lever quickly
