To switch your answering
machine on
If you go out and forget to
turn your answering
machine on you can switch
it on remotely.
Dial your telephone number.
Let the phone ring for 20
rings until you hear your
outgoing message.
Press the
✱
button.
Enter your security code.
Press the 7 button within 8
seconds. You will hear
“Answer On”
and your
answering machine will now
be switched on to answer
incoming calls.

To change your security
PIN code
Press the SCREEN/MENU
button.
Press the 9 button.
To set a new security PIN
code press
✱
.
You will hear a beep.
Enter a 3-digit code of your
choice.
The prompt will announce
the new security PIN code.
To confirm your security
code press Press
# .
Press the SCREEN/MENU
button to return to standby. You can turn your Quartet 1500
answering machine on and off and
listen to your messages from any
Touchtone
TM telephone. To protect
your privacy, messages can only be
accessed by entering a 3 -digit
security code.
The pre-set code is 000 and can be
changed. If you change the code it is
advisable that you make a note of it
somewhere safe.
