14. Click the Finish button to complete installation.

Remove the CD-ROM from the CD-ROM drive. Start Transact and follow the
instructions on the screen. Transact will prompt you to do a backup. Do Not
Skip this setup process.

Once the backup has completed, you will be prompted to perform a database
upgrade. Again, follow the instructions on the screen.
Multi User Shared Database in a Network Environment Update
1.
When installing an update on a multi-user network, be certain to Quit Transact
on all computers except one. Follow the Stand Alone Workstation directions to
complete the database upgrade.
2.
Copy all of the report files (*.RPT) from C:\Program
Files\AWS\Transact\Reports to the shared C:\Program
Files\AWS\Transact\Reports folder on the network (i.e. F:\Program
Files\AWS\Transact\Reports). Click YES to replace all files.
3.
Quit Transact and complete the install process on the next computer. Continue to
install the update on one computer at a time, being certain to Quit Transact after
each installation.
4.
Multiple workstations can run Transact simultaneously, once installation has
been completed on all computers licensed to run Transact.
NOTE: Do not run an older version of Transact until it has been updated.
Change the Serial Driver for Unattended ATS-2 Hardware
Once the update is complete, it is necessary to switch the serial communication driver for
computers connected to an ATS-2 unattended controller. When the incorrect serial
communication driver is loaded, ticket printing will become very very slow.
1. Quit Transact on the scale computer.
2. Click Start | Programs | Transact | Scale Comm Control
3. Start Transact
