The APT 8 page specifies the non-
precision IAPs (Instrument Approach
Procedures) available for the airport.
Remember that the desired approach
must be in the published data base in
order to be used by KLN 89B. If there
are no approaches for this airport in
the data base then this page will be
as shown in figure 3-153. To read
more about selecting a non-precision
approach, see section 5.1.1.
Line 1: The ICAO identifier (see sec-
tion 2.3) of the airport; an arrow
precedes the identifier if it is the active
waypoint.
Lines 2-4: Listing of the instrument approach procedures for the air-
port. The IAPs are listed in alphabetical order. If there are more than
three IAPs, the final one in the list is on line 4 of the screen. To scan
through the IAPs that are not in view, turn on the cursor
B
and turn
the right outer knob clockwise.
