3. Place the battery pack into the

battery compartment.

4, Replace the cover by sliding it

on. Make sure not to get the wires trom the

battery pack caught in the cover.

Charging the Battery Pack

The rechargeable Ni-Cd battery pack included

with your CT301 needs to be charged for approxi­

mately 12-16 hours before first use. Place the

Handset in the cradle, and the

CHARGE

LED

should light, indicating the battery pack is being

charged. After 12-16 hours, your CT301 will be

ready to use.

CAUTION

If the unit is to be left

unused for a long period

of time, remove the batteries. They should be

reinserted and fully charged every 3 months.

Selecting Tone or Pulse Dialing

(Australian Model only)

You must set the

T/P

(Tone/Pulse) switch on the

rear side of the Base Unit to the proper setting. If

you do not know what type of dialing your tel­

ephone system provides, call your local telephone

company for the information.

Security Code

When you first place the Handset on the Base

Unit to charge the battery pack, the Security Code

is automatically set to one of 65,536 codes.

To reset the Security Code, remove the battery

pack from the Handset for more than one minute.

Then reinstall the battery pack and return the

Handset to the Base Unit. The Security Code will

automatically be set to a different Security Code.
