Calling Basics

Turning the phone on and off
Turning the phone on
1. Before turning the phone on, make sure that the battery is charged and
properly installed (see Battery chargers, page 87, and Battery
replacement, page 89).
2. Press and hold until the indicator light illuminates (about one
second).
3. The phone is now in standby mode (see Standby mode, page 14)
searching for service.
Tip
When the phone is turned on, a Globalstar animation sequence
displays. To stop this animation, press any key.
Turning the phone off
1. Press and hold until “Powering Off” displays.
