This easily installed configuration, for four place and higher, uses standard Stereo Sigtronics products. It allows pilot and co-
pilot to transmit and receive on the aircraft radio, listen to music, and intercom between themselves, while back passengers
can have a separate conversation and music without interrupting the front two. This is commonly known as “Crew Isolate”.
Rear seat passengers conversation and music will not be interrupted by radio transmit or receive. A “link switch” allows you
to selectively connect both front and back units together. All positions can then intercom and hear radio’s in this mode.

Install the front unit as a two place, as usual, for pilot and co-pilot with aircraft radio connections, push-to-talk switches,
and music. The second, or back unit is installed for intercom and music only - no need to install radio connections or
push-to-talk wiring. The drawing shows a commonly available DPDT switch is used as the link switch or you can use one
of the 3PDT (PILOT/ALL) switches from the regular RES music switch harness. Just unsolder and remove the wires on the
PILOT/ALL switch and rewire per the drawing. Leave both MUSIC ON/OFF switches wired as is. Both units and the intercom
link switch should be mounted together up front so the pilot can control operations. You will need to label the link switch
“ISO” and “ALL”.

Since it is two systems it can be installed using one music source (like the drawing) or two separate music sources (for
separate music tastes!)
