THE DONUTS ARE SHAPED IMPERFECTLY.
Possible Causes
What To Do
The shortening level is too low.
Add shortening to reach the proper level.
WARNING
To avoid being burned or otherwise injured,
before doing either of the following, turn off the
machine and allow the shortening to cool.
The hopper is too far above the shortening.
Lower the hopper to 1”/2.5 cm above the shortening.
The drop plate is out of position.
Reposition the drop plate.
The tip of the cylinder is dirty.
WARNING
To avoid injury, turn off the machine and remove
the hopper.
Clean the cylinder.
The tip of the cylinder is nicked.
Replace the hopper.
The size-selection dial is not tightened.
Tighten the thumb nut.
The dough is over mixed.
Review the mixing procedure.
THE CUTTER SWING COLUMN CHATTERS.
Possible Causes
What To Do
WARNING
To avoid injury, before doing either of the
following, turn off the machine.
The nylon thrust washer is missing.
Install the nylon thrust washer between the swing
column bracket and the set collar.
There is not enough lubrication between the
swing column and the swing column mounting
bracket.
Lubricate the upper and lower legs of the bracket
with SAE 30 machine oil.
