The Effect Rate is the speed at which the frame entry effects occur. The Flash Rate is the speed at
which flashing text will flash. Set either of these rates using the drop-down menu next to the field. The
default speed is “Normal.” Note: This does not apply to graphic frames.
Eleven entry effects are available for graphic frames: Instant (default), Scroll Left, Scroll Right, Scroll
Up, Scroll Down, Roll UP, Roll Down, Roll Left, Roll Right, Wipe Left and Wipe Right. When this
field is enabled, choose the desired effect.
The Duration is set just as described in Section 5.4.
When the settings are complete, click on [
CLOSE ] to exit the Frame Properties dialog box.
5.9 Preview
The preview option previews the entire message, or the
current frame, as it will appear on the display.
The message or frame will begin to preview as soon as
the appropriate button is activated.
Pause the message by clicking on the pause button.
Printing In Message Studio
To print the frames from the message studio:
1. Click on the File pull down menu and select Print. A print pop-up window will appear.
2. Click on [OK] and the frames will be printed in the order that they will appear on the
display
5.10 View
Use the zoom tool to get a better idea of how a frame or message will appear
from a distance. Click on the Zoom Out button to reduce the scale of the
editing area. Use the Zoom In button to increase the scale. Zoom In and
Zoom Out can also be selected from the View pull-down menu.
5.11 Drag and Drop
This allows the frames of a message to be rearranged in the thumbnail viewer.
To rearrange frames:
1. Click on the frame to be moved.
2. While holding down the button on the mouse drag the frame to the new location within
the message. The new location will be shown by a line across the thumbnail viewer.
3. Release the button on the mouse. The frame has now been moved.
Note: The thumbnail viewer is capable of being resized based on the size of the display.
