Emergency Starting Procedure

Your machine comes with a tool kit containing essential tools for emergency use.

In the event the recoil starter system should fail, take the emergency start strap

from the kit and proceed as follows:
1. Open clutch guard.
2. Push on the inner sheave

of the secondary clutch and

rotate clockwise slightly to

relieve belt tension. This

allows for easier starting.

3. Starting at one of the tower

struts, wind the strap

counterclockwise around

the clutch as shown.

WARNING

Do not wind the strap around your hand. Severe injury could result.
4. Pull the strap using a sharp, crisp pull so the strap comes free of the clutch.

CAUTION:

Keep all people clear of the snowmobile when using the emergency starting proce-

dure.
