This card provides quick start instructions for an experienced
installer to set up and operate any of the MTP DA
distribution amplifier.
Pre-installation — Jumpers
Refer to the MTP DA Series User’s Guide for more
information.
N
The jumpers have no effect when the
DA is part of an MTP CV/SV series,
or VTT001/VTR001 system.
Jumper J3
sets the DA for either audio
(default) or serial data in addition to the RGB
video.
Jumper J9
sets the DA to either always pass
the audio or serial link regardless of the
contact closure mute status (default), or to
mute the audio or serial link when its video
mute function is activated.
Installation
Step 1 — Mounting
Turn off or disconnect all equipment power sources and mount the MTP DA as required.
Step 2 — Input from the transmitter
Terminate a TP cable as shown at right. Connect
it between an MTP transmitter and the A/V Input
connector.
Step 3 — Outputs to the receivers
Terminate up to four or eight TP cables as shown at
right. Connect them between the DA’s A/V Output
port and receivers that are compatible with the
transmitter
.
N
The input and all outputs should all be
terminated using the same standard on both
ends of the cables.
Step 4 — Power
Wire the 2-pole captive screw connector for the included
external 12 VDC power supply as shown at right. Plug it into
the DA.
