3.1 Preparing to use the Phone features
Like a standard mobile phone, you can use your Pocket PC Phone to make, receive, and
keep track of calls, and send SMS/MMS messages. You can also take notes while talking,
dial directly from Contacts, and easily transfer contacts between your SIM card and the
RAM of your device.
The Phone Dialer screen
To open the Phone Dialer Screen, select Phone from the Start menu, or press on your
Pocket PC Phone. From this screen, you can access Call History, Speed Dial, and Phone
Settings. Components of this screen related to phone operation are:
1. Indicates the strength of the signal.
2. The contact name or the number you are
dialing is displayed here.
3. Touch-screen keypad.
4. Clear, copy, or paste numbers.
5. Tap to access the phone settings or send text
message.
6. Tap to make a Note during a call.
7. Tap to select an entry from
your Pocket Contacts.
8. Mute / Unmute.
9. Tap to end a call.
10. Stores frequently-called numbers which you have
previously defined, for convenient selection.
11. Tap to view all Call History records, including received, dialed, and missed calls.
12. Tap to backspace.
