Operating Environment

The host computer running the Macintosh

®

operating environment must satisfy the following

two conditions.
1. Be a computer with Mac OS 8.6 / Mac OS 9.0 installed

(A minimum of 64MB of RAM is recommended.)

2. Be a USB-compatible computer with built-in USB port

NOTE:

There are variations of the USB interface in various brands of personal computers.
Therefore JVC cannot guarantee that your computer will be compatible with this printer.

Connecting the USB Cable

Attach the supplied ferrite core to the USB cable. (See below.)

NOTE:

Check that the terminal of the USB cable matches that of the connected video hardware and
connect.

The Ferrite Core

When using an optional USB cable, be sure to attach the ferrite core to the cable.
Use of the ferrite core reduces the noise that occurs when connecting the PC.

Pop the stoppers at both
ends and open.

Put the ferrite core around
the cable.

•Attach the ferrite core at a

location about 2 cm from
the terminal.

Clamp around the cable
and close until you hear the
stoppers catch in place.

• When connecting the cable, be sure to connect the terminal at the end where the ferrite core

is attached to the system printer.
