The Manual set-up or direct code entry allows you to enter directly the code
number of the device you want to control with the remote. Please follow the
instructions below:
1. Select the device you wish to set (ex.: TV). Search your device’s brand in
the code list attached p.X. There is a different code list for each of the 4 devices
which your remote control can be set to. Mark down the corresponding 3-digit
code. One brand may have up to 30 codes. You might have to try several of

have to repeat the full procedure.
2. Switch on the device you want to control with the remote and aim the remote
at the device.
- If it’s a VCR, insert a video tape.
- For SAT, select a program.
- If it’s a DVD player, insert a DVD.
3. Press and hold the key of the device for 3 seconds. The LED located on the
top part of the remote will turn on and then turn off after 3 seconds.
4. Release the key. The LED lights up again.
5. Press the Power key , then use the numeric keys to enter the 3-digit code
applicable for your device.

times then remains on. You must enter a new code.
7. Try some keys on your remote control to check if they work properly. If they
do, your settings were successful: you found the right code. You are now ready
to set another device, with the same procedure.

code and you need to try the next 3-digit code corresponding to your device’s
brand in the list. Repeat steps 3 to 7 until your device responds correctly to the
keys pressed on the remote.
Note:
After pressing the Power key (step 5), press the EXIT key at anytime to
stop the search and exit the manual set-up mode. The codes previously stored
won’t be lost or changed.
If no key is pressed for more than 15 seconds, the setup ends automatically
and the LED goes off.
Manual set-up
This search should be used only if the Hot brand code search and the Manual
set-up have both failed or if the brand or correct model code are not listed in
the code list at the end of the instruction manual.

A new code is sent by the remote control every second.
5. When the device turns itself off, the correct code has been found. Press the
device key right away to store the code and exit the search.

7. Try some keys on your remote control to check if they work properly. If they
do, your settings were successful: you found the right code. You are now ready
to set another device, with the same procedure. If your remote control’s keys

Automatic (Auto) search
Quick search
Use the Quick search if you didn’t have the time to store the correct code during
step 5 of the Auto search.
1. Press the Pause key during the Auto search to enter the Quick search
mode. The LED remains on.
2. Press the key to start the Quick search: the device you want to program
on the remote control should turn on.
3. If the device does not turn on, press the key every 2 seconds until it does.
4. When the device turns on, the correct code has been found. Promptly press
the corresponding device key on the remote control to store the code and exit.

Note: If you accidentally pressed on the key after the device has turned on,
press on the key right away and wait for 2 seconds to see if your device
turns off.
