1.2.4 Reset Switch Input

The reset/silence switch uses a 2-pin connector (Detcon p/n 306-175701-900). The reset connector allows for
the use of an external, normally-open, momentary push-button switch to reset and/or silence alarms (Figure 1).
When the switch is closed, it will reset any latched alarms or silence any Silenceable alarms.

Installation

1. Mount the Relay Card on standoffs so that there is no probability of shorting out any components on

the back side of the Relay Card. The standoffs should be at least 3/8” tall. The screw size is set for 6-
32.

NOTE:

An enclosure is not included with The Four Channel Relay Card. The Relay Card must be
mounted in a user-supplied enclosure appropriate for the environment in which it will be
used. Typically, the card is mounted inside a fire alarm controller enclosure.
