Database Schedule Service
The VRC Database Schedule Service lets users specific database replication, restore, user-defined
database maintenance tasks in a fully automatic, scheduled way.
Configuring the Database Schedule Service
Standard installation will install the VRC DB Schedule Service in your windows OS. By default this
service will work on free distributed SQL Server Express 2005.
To manually launch the service, select Start>AllPrograms>vitec group camera dynamics ltd
>VRC Database Schedule Service and then select VRC Database Schedule Service UI.
Alternatively it can be launched automatically after the PC is booted by setting this in Services.
How to Schedule a Database Service
Starting the Database Service UI
After you have created the two databases (VrcsConfiguration and VrcsCore) using the Database
Creator, the first time you install the Fusion Control System you will be able to manage the database
directly using SQL Server Management Studio Express. You can use this program to automatically
schedule regular or one time database maintenance locally or remotely on another physical location.
This program will remain running in the background as a windows service.
1. Open the SQL Server Management Studio Express program. Check that the databases
VrcsConfiguration and VrcsCore have been successfully created.
