Values: P = Prompt
F = Fixed data
L = Line
M = Merge
S = Sub-field
G = Graphic field
T = Test tag
This is the first prompt you see when you define a field. To select
a field type, type the value and press e .
This option lets you merge up to 9 fields into one field. The
merged field can have a maximum of 26 characters.
To define a merge field, type M and press e .
To print a test tag, type T and press e .
Each time you define a field, the field number (nn) increases by
one. For more information, see the specific field type (e.g.,
P)rompt) in this chapter.

Formatting: A
B)efore or A)fter
Values: B = Use the data as it is entered at
data entry.
A = Use the data after it has been
formatted for printing.
Merged fields and sub-fields let you copy information from a
source field and print it in another location on the format.
